An Advance Provisioning Allowance is taken at the time of the final payment for the charter and is usually 30-35% of the charter fee. The Advance Provisioning Allowance (APA) is taken up front to allow the crew provision the yacht with food per your requests. The captain will provide you a full accounting of all expenses incurred for or during your charter. Any balance will be refunded. In the case that your expenses run over the APA, then you will need to take care of the balance prior to disembarkation. We will be happy to assist you with ideas for meal planning. Is there medical help near by? There is a nurse run clinic on Staniel Cay with varied hours. The closest hospital is Nassau and then Florida. Due to the remoteness, we highly recommend that you have comprehensive travel insurance in case of illness or need for medical evacuation. How fast do we cruise underway? On average 8 knots- leisurely. ATM's? Due to the remoteness, there are no banks or ATM’s in the Central Exuma Cays. A few places take credit card. Communication? Leave your gadgets behind and bring an open mind...
